About

Step-by-step plans for dads, for every part of the job, one printable page each. Christians and everyone else are welcome.

Who writes this

Dad Field Manual is a national site for dads: plans for rainy days and weekends, money and chores, reading and cooking, hard conversations, screens, discipline, co-parenting, and a dad's own health. Plans are signed "Dad Field Manual editors" until a real person tests them; tested plans name the person who ran the test.

Some outdoor plans pair with an optional Bible story. It's folded shut on the page, and the plan works the same without it. Nothing else on the site assumes a faith.

How we use AI

Pages are drafted with AI help. Plans are written from published sources, mostly official ones like the American Academy of Pediatrics, the CDC and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and each plan links them so you can check the facts yourself. Every plan says "Drafted with AI help" in its byline. AI is never used to invent test results, reviews, people, photos, or places.

How we test

"Idea · Not yet tested" means just that. Every plan starts as an idea and carries that stamp until a named adult has done it with real kids. Then we write down who ran it, the date, the place, the kids' ages, the weather, and what went wrong, on the plan page and in the Tested Log.

Corrections: if something on a plan is wrong, unsafe, or out of date, we fix it, change the plan's "Updated" date, and say what changed.

How we make money

The site earns nothing today. Later we may sell printable kits, but every plan's field card stays free. If we ever earn a commission on a gear link, the link will say so right next to it. Nobody can pay to be in a plan, a topic page, or the Friday letter.
