What you'll see

A few plans end with a short box called Gear that helps: at most three things that make that plan easier or better. You'll find it only where something genuinely helps, such as a pizza steel on pizza night. Every plan works without buying anything in it.

How we pick

Small US businesses that make things in the USA. We count a product as made in the USA only when the maker's own page says so. The box links that page and the date we checked it.
No Amazon links. We link to the maker's own shop.
No reviews or ratings from us. We haven't tried these products, and the box says so. We don't copy star ratings from shops, and we never make up a review, a tester or a photo.
No prices. Prices change, and the maker's page has the current one.

Money

Today nobody pays us for any link: no affiliate links, no sponsored spots, no free products. Every gear link is a plain link to the maker's site, and we earn nothing if you buy.

If that ever changes, two things happen before any paid link goes live:

The link itself is marked "affiliate link" in the box, and it carries the tag that tells search engines it's paid (rel="sponsored").
This page lists each maker we have a paid relationship with.

As the FTC asks, the box will say so right next to the link, not only here. A paid relationship never decides what goes on a plan.

Something wrong?

If a link is broken, a product is no longer made in the USA, or a maker changed something, please tell us through the feedback page or email hello@dadfieldmanual.com. We'll check it and fix or remove it.
