Sample issue

This is what a Friday letter looks like. It's a sample to show the format, not a past issue.

Subject: Pizza night, a two-minute feelings check, and twenty minutes for the grown-ups

Hi. Here's one plan for the weekend, one for a weeknight, and one just for you. Each prints on one page.

This weekend: Make-your-own pizza night

A toppings bar, a ball of dough for each kid, and one rule: Dad runs the oven. Everyone names and rates their pizza. 60 min · About $15 · ages 3–12. Read and print the plan

A weeknight: The feelings check-in

Draw a 1–5 scale, go first, help them find the word, then ask what would help. Two minutes a day once it sticks. 15 min · $0 · ages 3–8. Read and print the plan

For you: The 20-minute weekly parent huddle

Calendar, who does what, one money number and one thank-you. Twenty minutes, once a week, for the adults running the house. 20 min · $0 · any age. Read and print the plan

The honest part

Every plan above is marked "Idea · Not yet tested." When a dad tests one, his name, the date, the place and what went wrong go on the plan and in the Tested Log.

That's it. See you next Friday.
