Short and often. Most toddler games last 10 to 20 minutes. String three together with a snack between, and stop while it's fun.
Give them a real job. Carry, sort, wipe, pour. Show once, then let them go slowly.
Set up first. Small things out of reach, floor clear, water emptied after. Then relax.
