Start with the easiest one. A walk after dinner tonight counts. Mental health is health too: see the Dad Mental Health plans, and if you're in crisis, call or text 988.
The after-dinner family walk
Same time, same door, a 20- to 30-minute loop and a talking game. Five a week covers your 150 minutes.
Book your checkup and fix your sleep
Book the physical, write three questions, set a lights-out time that gets you at least 7 hours, and an alarm to start winding down.
A 20-minute family workout in the living room
Warm-up, six stations twice through, cool-down. Jumping jacks, wall sits, bear crawls and push-ups, with Dad doing every one.
Build a real-food dinner together
Draw the dinner, check the fridge, shop for the gaps, cook it together. Protein, vegetables and a whole grain, with a thermometer to finish.
Know your numbers: blood pressure at home
No caffeine for 30 minutes, back supported, feet flat, arm on the table, two readings. Write them down and bring the log to your doctor.
